Embarcation: We began our company on the
trails of northern Maine, in the heart of
Cold Country. After years of wrestling with
outer wear and gear that failed to meet all
our
needs, we determined to create a new brand
that combined sharp designs, quality
workmanship and superior functionality at
a managable cost. And so began Katahdin Gear,
named for the greatest mountain in the Northeastern
United States, the northern terminus of
the Appalachian Trail.

Mission: We exist for the sole purpose
of offering snowmobilers smart products that
function, period. We design our products specifically
for snowmobiling, combining warmth,
quality and the demands of a body-in-motion
to produce winter apparel and gear that allows
you to focus on the trail – not your
gear.
